Michael Stone Group saw profits increase in both 2011 and 2012, posting a 35% increase over 2010. Projected starts for 2013 show a 100% increase over 2011 & 2012 COMBINED.
Silver Key Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago for The Michael Stone Group…
In October 2007 Michael Stone Group won a Silver Key Award for the custom residence at 461 Woodvale in Deerfield.
“This project was special because the site provided us with wooded views from both the front and rear yards, which is unusual for this part of town. The home was specifically designed to accentuate the large rear yard and mature landscaping, while offering privacy between the homes on either side by controlling window size and placement,” said Johnstone, Michael Stone Group’s Principal and Director of Sales and Marketing.
He went on to say, “Between these private exterior areas and the highly finished interior of the home, we felt this design offered the seclusion of a country home while being quite close to other neighborhoods and the downtown area.”
This is the 5th Key Award for Michael Stone Group since 2003.

On October 13th, 2006 Michael Stone Group won a prestigious Key Award in the Single Family, Custom Home category for their project at 1115 Warrington Road in Deerfield, IL, from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.
Ryan Johnstone, Founder and Director of Sales and Marketing for Michael Stone Group was quite proud, saying, “It’s always validating to win an award for something you put your heart and soul into, especially one as coveted as a Key Award from the HBAGC. Michael Stone Group is passionate about building distinctive homes for our clients. We put a tremendous amount of forethought into our designs before we ever start the construction, and it shows. We have won Key Awards in the past, but this year it’s a bit sweeter, being that it’s the first our company has won as Michael Stone Group.” Johnstone added, “There are many people who had a hand in making that project into an award-wining home. We share this award together.”
Johnstone went on to say, “There is truly nothing more gratifying than a client saying ‘I love my new home’.”
This is the fourth Key Award that Ryan Johnstone has won since 2003. The previous three awards were as part of O.G.I Development, also for projects in Deerfield, IL.
